Rescues & Towing

This intermediate-level class is designed for paddlers who are already comfortable in a decked kayak, can wet-exit confidently, and want to build stronger rescue skills.

This class creates a supportive environment for practicing rescue scenarios, building skill through repetition, and gaining confidence with hands-on work in the water.

During the class, you’ll practice the essential roles involved in both self-rescue and assisted rescue. Techniques may include the T-rescue, bow rescue, scoop, unresponsive paddler, and a range of towing scenarios. Along the way, you’ll learn practical tips, adaptable strategies, and ways to turn uncertain moments into more confident, instinctive responses.

Expect to spend plenty of time upside down — because some of the best rescue lessons start in the water.
