ACA L3 Coastal Kayaking

This course is designed for paddlers who already have strong foundational kayaking skills, are comfortable in a decked kayak, and are ready to progress toward ACA Level 3. It’s best suited for those looking to build confidence in more dynamic coastal environments and strengthen the judgment, control, and awareness needed to paddle more capably in changing conditions.

Includes refinement of core strokes and maneuvers, edging, boat control, and efficiency, along with rescue skills, recovery under pressure, and decision-making on the water. Paddlers will also work on planning, and situational awareness that support more confident coastal paddling.
